Good News

So they were able to get Grandpa in for surgery this morning at 9. We went to see him this evening and spent about 2 hours there. He was very energetic and enthusiastic - hardly looked like he'd had surgery this morning to put in a pacemaker! He was very talkative and happy to have company, we ran into Nancy and Nick and also Doug. They're actually sending him home tomorrow morning if everything goes as planned.
It was great to see him so upbeat today. We had lunch with him and Grandma on Saturday and he was very quiet and seemed sort of out of it, just very tired. Tonight he was like a new man.
Mom talked to Grandma this evening after we left the hospital (she was home) and she was happy we all went to see him. Grandma also sounded like she'd gotten some sleep and was more rested than yesterday which is good.

Now that I know my family is taken care of, it's time to go watch American Idol - not Lost.
